mary jane & sherbet pips!!

meet mary jane, a sweet little girl that LOVES, red, aqua and pink, and of course mushrooms. she is all prepared for the rain but still looks as cute as ever since her mushroom umbrella is keeping her dry! :)

this was my first time doing interactive piecing (aneela has a great tutorial) which i have admired for quite some time. it was so much fun, and can't wait to do more!! she was specially made for my partner for the scrappy hoops swap!

now i'm trying to decide whether i should keep her simple like this or add a little friend, maybe a squirrel with an umbrella?? what do you think?

also, lookie what came this week!! i couldn't help to squeal when i saw this ADORABLE fabric from my sweet friend, aneela. sherbet pips is going to be a new favorite, for sure!! i can't wait to order this line this coming spring! just trying to decide what i should make out of all this loveliness!!

I'm off to the airport to pick up my mom!! I'm so excited to see her, and get to have her here for a few weeks!!

it's here...

...the fall Munki Munki!! I've been anticipating it's arrival since last Spring, and let me tell you, I'm so excited as it is the softest flannel EVER!! With it being a bamboo flannel, it makes it extremely softer. Oh, I can just imagine wearing a pair of these during those cold winter months while snuggling up to a matching quilt!! Wouldn't that be fun!! :)

A limited edition Love Bikes I was able to get my hands on!! I love it in the blue!!!

The Day of the Dead should be arriving within the next week so keep watch for that one, and it comes in poplin!!

PS. It may be quiet on my blog for a few weeks as we are getting ready to move at the end of the month. I'll also be closing my shop soon for probably a week or so to get everything situated. We quickly out grew our home with having a large family and the shop!! :)

a new swap & a cutie mini quilt!

a few month back i did a fun little swap with amy, aka nanacompany. she makes the most adorable handmade items, that you just drool over!! i couldn't pass up a little side swap for a few handmade items for some fabric. i had amy make a couple of placemats that are the CUTEST, and she just made me this ADORABLE little red and wolfie mini quilt!! it seriously is the sweetest little mini!! i have it hung over my desk in my studio for now so i can see it all the time. eventually it will make it's way into my girls room. :)

heather and i have a new swap starting up today!! the scrappy {hoops} - a modern swap! it is always fun doing a simple but fun swap after a big one like the {urban} home goods - a modern swap. for the scrappy hoops, you make a hoop for your blind partner by going off his/her mosaic and preferences. sounds fun, right?

if you'd like to sign-up, please feel free to ask to join the group, and we'd be happy to accept your membership. sign-ups are going on till the 8th. you can find out all the details and deadlines on heather's blog. :)
